Customizing Mininova RSS Feeds with the totaliser

Mininova offers two basic types of RSS feed

  1. Everything from a user, category or sub-category
  2. Specific based on a search term (with or without a category)

When using these feeds in your desktop aggregator you can be bombarded with useless new entries and have to manually go though and weed out the interesting bits. Isn't it a shame that you cant just get a summery of similar terms that come up repeatedly?

In steps the totaliser!

By sitting as a staging point between your aggregator and mininova we can monkey around with the data to give you totalised terms in an easy to read format.

An interesting search term to monitor on Mininova's RSS feeds is the term "R5". To totalise it.

Its probably better to search for the term "R5" in the category "Movies" (cat 4).

To only get "R5" matches where there are greater than or equal to 8 similar entries in the feed
